Downtown St. Pete is a great place to take a stand up paddle board lesson with Water Monkey. The St. Petersburg Pier serves as a beautiful backdrop for your first SUP experience. Tampa Bay borders the sea wall around downtown St. Pete. The water here is almost always flat, providing ideal conditions for your stand up paddle board experience. If you prefer to have more of a beach feel then you can come down to the Water Monkey waterfront on St. Pete Beach. But if you are looking for a new and exciting city with plenty of activities, then downtown St. Pete serves as a great location to learn how to stand up paddle board.  View Full Post

Spring SUP Race Clinic

The spring SUP race season is just around the corner and Tampa Bay has a full schedule of stand up paddle races. In order to help you prepare for all of the racing we will be putting on a race clinic on Saturday, March 17th. The SUP race clinic will be held at the Water Monkey water front location near St. Pete Beach. The cost of the stand up paddle race clinic is $100. The clinic starts at 9 AM and lasts about 3 hours. Participants will learn about stand up paddle technique, starts, drafting,turning, training, race strategy, equipment selection and race preparation.  View Full Post
